Mepham, Phillips and Taylor it is for the foreseeable. Equivalent of starting 0-2.
You have to feel for Ramsay when players in such poor form are the only options in such a crucial position in the formation you prefer. Clean sheets are the basis for a team looking to go on a run, and our defensive record has been shocking for the majority of the season.
I would feel sorry for him but the fact he hasn't tried a different approach and formation is poor management imo.
Start with a 4 at the back for a start. Look at how we attack teams as we can't invite teams on and counter. Look at how to keep the ball and pass accurately. How we get creative players on the ball. Ieuse your fucking Uefa pro license and fucking coach players better!
I'd try something different and play Campbell and Diakite at centre half in a four. Phillips and Mepham simply can't play together and Taylor is an absolute right off. He is fucked. I'd rather have any U23 centre half instead of him.

Doesn’t seem to be anything happening that’s going to make much difference to our season in the window.
Almost like the shambolic club have given up.

How is Taylor still here?

We were being linked with him in the summer, might be a bit of 2+2 linking on this one

Maybe no one wants him?

Craig Dawson being mentioned on the twatter this morning. Nothing credible fortunately. Even in our current situation I don’t think we should go back and certainly not to him.

Hasn't played professionally for about 9 months so would need 3-4 weeks to get up to speed, and by that time we should have a full complement of CBs available so is a no from me.
If we are looking at anyone in the free agent market, it needs to be a forward!

No need. Bielik back already, Campbell in the next week or so. Charlie Taylor new cult hero.

Borjan Baston fits the bill. Over 30, injury prone and most importantly has played for Villa!
Origi, the ex-Liverpool striker is available and is only 30
We could of course give one of our youngsters a chance!

Don’t forget the crucial “scored a few goals in the Championship 6 years ago” metric too!

They seem like players from a completely different age. I can't belief Origi is still only 30. It's like when I saw Steven N'Zonzi playing for Stoke again recently, I felt as if I was in some kind of timewarp.
Bringing in free agents at this time of the season is normally pretty pointless. Anyone available just won't be fit or sharp enough to get up to speed with the hustle and bustle of a Championship relegation scrap.
