Whichever way he chose (or indeed chooses) to vote next time, this sympathy-seeking, somewhat hollow excerpt from a Shell Petroleum Company press release (made circa mid-1990s) sums it all up for me:
‘Government is the business of governments, and politicians. The world where companies use their economic influence to prop-up or bring down governments would be a frightening and bleak one indeed’.
Corporations have an easy enough ride from governments. They are going too far when they attempt to influence them. Which we all know, via lobbying known and unknown, they do.
Anyway, when’s he cutting his hair?
