More good news
I wouldn’t get too overexcited by this, although that’s not to say it isn’t good news. There is the catch-up effect (helped by government assistance of course) plus the usual pre-Christmas splurge thrown in. Also, irrespective of cyber issues, the figures were more than a little unkind as to the reality in the months preceding. All a little like a team with healthy xG losing more than it should, then finally getting the results they deserve.
It’ll be interesting to see if it continues. Reeves seems to have weathered the worst, and is probably enjoying some respite from what’s been a challenging year for her. Her biggest problem right now is that the goose with the golden egg happens to be an orange one, and in a post-Brexit economy that’s unquestionably where Labour’s true growth opportunity always lay.
