No they want a PM and cabinet that feel connected to the places they represent, they want MPs to stand up for their constituents without fear and very real possibility the whip will be taken off them if they dare to disagree with a government policy, they don’t want to be labelled racist or NIMBY’s when government ride roughshod over local council decisions and community concerns, they want a PM that has positive vision for the future that offers hope to millions of people things will get better, they want a PM that stands for something and has some tangible values and convictions.
What people see is a thin skinned, paranoid, conviction free politician more akin to a manager of a NHS trust than a leader. Also I don’t mind admitting that the genie sadly has long since escaped the lamp when it comes to having dull leaders, that isn’t going to work anymore in a digital SM age, I think that’s wrong but that’s where we are.
