I remember Wycombe away in the FA Cup - he of the large eyebrows was co commentator and the gantry was visible from the away end. Rumours were rife he was coming to us, much of the game involved us in the away end singing "we do not want Bobby Gould" to the tune of the erstwhile terrace chant "get yer tits out for the lads". It didn't work and within days we were subjected to his comical management. As shit as he was he did have some character, getting Big Mick in the dressing room, addressing the Brummie post match, saying Colin West (I think) would never play for us again then playing away in the relegation confirming game at Twerton, signing the wrong Paul Williams from Stockport and Winston White amongst other gems. The shining light was signing Super Bob and the best ever send off for a manager at Shrewsbury, the coffin and the chant "Bye bye Silk, bye bye Silk, say bye bye bye to the Silk, and when you say bye bye to the Silk say bye bye to the Gould" plus the Funeral March with Gould as the last note. As per other thread it wasn't ever dull in the 90's.
