The scale of the missed opportunity will be apparent when you see the Australian side on Boxing Day. There will be no Lyon and no Cummins. Australia are very good in their own conditions, but rarely do you get an Ashes tour where they give you so many chances. To be staring down the barrel of a whitewash in these circumstances is so poor.
