Is it ok to be racist

It's always been wrong to be racist. I'm really not making excuses for anyone but you have to remember that this was in the era when the BBC were pioneers in black face characters and entertainers in their programs. How many people refuse to watch the same channel now because of it? They really were different (and wrong) days.

This is a pathetically weak excuse for someone who is alleged to have bullied a 9 year old when they were 17 because the 9 year old was black and refused to apologise for it as an adult.

Careful. We need to be considerate and measured when addressing our board colleagues. We might learn something. We know BJ’s antisemitism credentials so let’s just wait before jumping to conclusions.

Yet again people can't read. I wasn't making an excuse for anybody. I was just explaining how different it was back then. Jokes about black people were parts of comedians acts. Even Lenny Henry did stuff considered racist now.  As for antisemitism credentials you're talking rubbish. You're mixing me up with someone else. I challenge you to show otherwise. Ffs learn to read. Some people enjoy grabbing their pearls too much.

On the contrary, you’ve been very vocal whenever someone has voiced anger at Israel’s genocide, ensuring any whiff of antisemitism was called out. Which makes the excusing of a man who hissed at Jews more interesting… I’m just here to learn and benefit from the diversity of thought that this board offers.
