You'll be letting us know some time Monday morning then!
There's not a lot in this wicket, Australia will bat sensibly, risk free, and will score at a slow rate to grind us down. If they don't get 350/400 I'll be surprised.
You were saying, don’t right of England with this bowling attack. It’s not normal.
I forgot about my post... simple rule of cricket... don't judge a pitch until both teams have batted on it.
My prediction before the series started was that it is highly unlikely England will lose 3 tests. On that basis I went for 2-2. Stokes has 60% test match win ratio. Yes, he lost 4-1 away against India, but Stokes didn't even bowl in India and was basically injured and we have no first class spinner.
This England bowling attack is brutal, rapid and possibly one of the fastest group of bowlers since the great WI sides. An ageing Australian team have their work cut out. England have a team batting average slightly higher than Aus. Our team bowling average is not as good - but I think the performance today suggest we don't have to worry too much about that until Hazlewood and Cummins are back. Australia were very fortunate not to be all out for around 75 today. England will need a decent total to defend, given what happened at the Perth test last year but we have a massive opportunity. The weather on Sunday looks a little overcast and wet. Win this and Aus will be under major pressure. Obviously, being a cynical England fan, we'll probably fuck it up, but at least we are going to give it a go and the mentality to go out and back yourself is surely the right approach. I have a sneaky feeling that at the end of this series, it will be the Aussies looking at their test team and thinking... perhaps Bazball is the way to play.
