They're playing the situation, and batting exactly how they should. It's been good bowling from England, but they're digging in and defending, waiting for us to bowl bad balls, and eventually tire.
The sensible, traditional approach, and the approach that has worked for 150 years in Test cricket.
A bit of a shit show session from England with that batting collapse. However, we did bowl really well.
I enjoyed the second half of that session. Good quick bowling, where the batsman have to be watchful and dig in. I know some folks find that boring, and would rather see a quick century with Bazball disregard for the bowling with plenty of boundaries, but for me this is what makes Test cricket enjoyable. A good contest between bat and ball, where bowlers have to work for their wickets and batsmen have to work their way in.
