Nah, I'm gonna put the NBA on and hopefully get back to sleep.
I'm not sure I want to see Brook dancing down the wicket to Starc
I guess it worked, that time!
Arghhhh, that's frustrating. A nice partnership was building between Pope and Brook there, and they looked comfortable and set.
Other than Root's wicket it hasn't been particularly good bowling that has taken the wickets. Crawley's was a poor shot, awfully played, and gave his wicket away. Duckett and Pope have gotten out to nothing balls, really, but at least playing shots that make sense, they've just mistimed it slightly - at least we aren't gifting wickets away to stupidity and awful shot selection, save for Crawley.
Starc has bowled really well, but it doesn't feel like Australia have bowled fiercely, the ball isn't seeming or doing a lot now. The pitch looks like it's good for batting on, so it feels like we really should be getting a good first innings score on this wicket, shouldn't we?
End of the first session. 23/30 overs bowled. Here we are again. Fans getting short changed with the over rate. How can you lose 7 overs in a session? That's piss poor.
Anyway, Australia on top, as expected, but England are hanging on in there. We really need Brook to hang around and score big.
