Labour should’ve been honest and done it from the start. I’ve no issue with it.

Prothtits was right when he said a fair while back such things were inevitable

Everything is broken. Local councils starved of government money, police cuts,  prisons overflowing, the NHS, funding for schools, roads full of potholes, numerous compensation claims- ignored for years,  a huge shortage of housing, hundreds of thousands entering the country illegally, you name it. Then Covid giveaways, Brexit costs,  energy subsidising. Anyone and everyone could see these things but now the day of reckoning arrives and people are surprised? I agree Labour maybe should have said they need to increase taxes before the election. But last time they said that they went from odds on and miles ahead in the polls to 2nd place. If you want a better society, it needs funding. Of course, as Ted Maul pointed out yesterday,  look at the money that can be found by the wealthy to subvert democracy.  Labour could try and tax those that get richer by each minute.
