England v India Test Series!!..

We just never converted good positions into a dominant position. That's a definite theme under old Baz, that people seem to overlook. 

Take a look at the below from this Test alone. We're lucky India didn't capitalise, either. 

We won the toss and bowled in favourable conditions, but bowled poorly. Conceding too many wides and extras. Missed opportunity.

We then got off to an excellent start in the 1st innings, but went on to lose our last 7 wickets for 100 runs. Failing to take a substantial first innings lead. Missed opportunity.

6 dropped catches in India's seconds innings, leading to a substantial run chase. Missed opportunity.

We were then 300-3 chasing 370 odd. Then collapsed. Missed opportunity.

We have to find a way of converting good positions into dominant positions, and not allow the opposition a sniff. We consistently fail to put the opposition away. That failure has cost us this Test match and this series. It's something that desperately needs addressing before the Ashes, because I can tell you now Australia won't give England as many chances as India have, as soon as we let Australia back into a game they will punish us.
