That only works one way!     TBF I can see no advantage in Bashir's situation in comparison to the Pant scenario.

Didn't matter in the end, a great test match, could have gone either way, I think the undoing of India was losing the 3 wickets late last night.  

I think if India had been offered 192 to chase after the end of the first innings they'd have accepted that, which makes the England win all the sweeter.  Not sure if England won it or India lost it, even with the disciplined rear guard from India in the end.

Your last sentence is something Josh always says when Stokes team wins, that the other team handed us the win rather than England winning it.

We won and deserved to win the match with a bloody good bowling performance. Even when they crept towards the total, the bowling was top notch and Stokes seemed to get his field placing spot on.
