Looking forward to him being asked to bowl a 12-over spell of bouncers after we win the toss and bowl on the hottest day of the year. It's behind a pay wall, Ted. Although I think the headline and caption put across the point anyway. Agree with all of the above. We are struggling to bed in a genuine quickie and relying on Archer or Wood to suddenly have a run of fitness. Something they haven't done previously.
Surprised we've gone with one change. There's a couple of obvious swaps that should be on the cards if we lose this match. Crawley (would be looking at Tom Haines from Sussex), Pope needs more runs in the latter stages of a game, Bet he'll should get a chance and Bashir if we're not going to give him any assistance needs to go back to playing county 2nd XI cricket. I'd be looking at Liam Dawson, a much better bowler than previous England stints and more than handy with the bat.
Here's a link below for anyone wondering where the dislikeable and arrogant shouts come from. Funnily enough, as India have scored 1,000 runs over the first two tests I wasn't thinking "god I wish Woakes was bowling 78mph with a Kookaburra" - fucking idiots.

Crawley's place ought to be under threat. I've never known a player get to the 20s, 30s, so often and get out cheaply. Unfortunately paired with Duckett one of them is always back in the pavilion early on. This means our natural no.3s and 4s are coming in pretty much as openers. Maybe pressure for places works, eh?
All genuine criticism aside though, I do enjoy watching this England side. Better judgement on certain calls and another look at how/why players are selected would go a long way to compensating the bowling issues.
