I'm lucky at the moment if I hit 15-20 miles and manage to get out more than three times. Still, the Christmas paunch has largely gone and brighter days are ahead. Major positive for me is that it's coming up two years since I've had any kind of flare up with a troublesome Achilles.
UCE - congrats, great time. Surely aiming for the sub-90 next time out?
Thanks Ted. Not sure about sub 90! Shaving five mins off would be a huge effort. The plan is definitely to try and duck under 3:30 for the marathon. Was going well last year until mile 20 when it all went wrong. Sat on the kerb and rang my wife! She gave me a rocket and I finished in 3:50 in the end. My training has been much better this year but the marathon is on 27 April so if it’s hot any thought of a sub 3:30 will be over! A running pal of mine got his PB at Cambridge - 1:29:59! Incredible pacing!
If you're running 95mins for a half you'll fly under 3:30.
