So the shortlist seems to be:

Lijnders
Heitinga
Cooper
Eustace
Schumacher
Williams

Cooper stands out there but I doubt he will want it. Eustace would be a good like-for-like replacement. Heitinga would be very intriguing. And the other three don’t interest me:

Schumacher didn’t rip up any trees at Stoke
Williams meh
Linjnders has an appalling managerial record
