At our last election the Tories were so hated that Labour didn't even have to make any effort and promises to beat them. The Tories shindigs won't be forgotten in 4 years and Labour are hardly endearing themselves to many people ATM. It won't take an exceptional candidate to persuade people to try something new. The Yanks don't have this option. Even if the Dems win it'll only be by a small margin and they'll now that a better Rep candidate would piss all over them next time. The fact that a tool like Trump can get nigh on half the votes is disgraceful and embarrasing
