The Yanks have spread their madness around the globe since the beginning of the era of cinema, despite having relatively isolationist policies for much of the time, and a population whose knowledge and comprehension of the rest of the world is minimal. Don't ever think that bad things happening socially and politically in the USA have no impact elsewhere in the world. Their influence is far greater than it deserves to be.
