I've absolutely no doubt Taylor Swift's intentions are nothing but good, but the fact is there are hundreds of thousands, if not millions, who will vote for a candidate just because Taylor has. Now, any vote against Trump should be encouraged, I'm not denying that. But the wider picture is that we're dangerously close to letting mega stars dictate who their fans vote for. Unintentionally, or otherwise. That's something that doesn't sit right with me. Regardless of how many votes go against that floppy haired racist nutjob.
I understand that celebrities advocating for one political party or an other is nothing new, but with social media it feels like it's more dangerous than ever.
It's always happened and if people are so stupid that they'll only vote for someone because a celeb has told them then it shows how screwed up modern democracy is.
