Having lived in America and been back here for a few years, I’m not surprised people lump Harris and Trump together but it’s bogus.
Neither are the best I agree, but what’s lost (I saw this first hand under Trump) is that he is trying to dismantle the safeguards that exist that separate the judiciary from the state, to politicise offices that should remain politically agnostic while bastardising the constitution for his own right wing Project 2025 acolytes.
In America, it always felt like they were not seeing this or believed the constitution protects them from it. That is simply not true, he’s politicised the Supreme Court which means he can infer, through their judgements, new interpretations of the constitution and amendment rights, just look at Roe vs Wade.
Harris isn’t an ideal leader of the free world, but my god is she a candidate that will protect the ideals of the USA and its allies abroad.
