Proth is right. Harris absolutely tanked during her own run for Democratic candidacy and is widely viewed as only having got the role due to the 2020 "Racial Reckoning" and has had persistently low approval ratings as a VP.

Saying this isn't being a "doomer" or pro-Trump, it's reality. All the people who spent months saying Biden was fit enough to run have a big portion of blame for Trump's almost inevitable re-election.

Not sure that's entirely on point.

There were a lot of candidates to be the Democratic candidate for 2020, so it would always going to be difficult to cut through in that contest. It very quickly had to be a contest between Sanders and the mainstream candidate best placed to beat him, which was always likely to be Biden.

And I'm not sure why she can't run on the Democratic record of the last 4 years. Far more coherent than the previous 4 years of chaotic Trump Govt.

If there is a candidate who should be worried about defending their record it's Trump.
