I am no Trump fan and rarely agree with Proth on politics but...

On one side you've got a bloke who was shot, then pictured defiantly getting back to his feet, blood on face beneath the US flag fist clenched.

On the other you've got a bloke who can't finish a sentence.

It might not be right, but it's what's happening. Democrats only have themselves to blame for allowing Biden to go on for so long.

I don't want to put words into Proth's mouth but I think that's the exact thought he seemed to be expressing, not that he thinks Trump is the better bet. And I agree with you both. Ridiculous state of affairs.

 Quite obviously, using the term 'Sleepy Joe' isn't an opinion. It's a derogatory term used by Trump to describe his opponent and I was criticising you for repeating it. 

Sleepy Joe is the perfect epithet. Trump is bang on the money with it. That's not to say I agree with Trump about anything else, which I referred to earlier in the thread.

You're right. Extremely statesmanlike. I can just imagine Abraham Lincoln, Franklyn D Roosevelt or John F Kennedy describing a political opponent in those terms. Or, perhaps not.

There again, I fail to imagine any of those men, if Twitter or X were available in their time, spending lots of time sitting in their office, tweeting nasty things about people who annoyed them. It's an indication of how low we have sunk that this pathetic individual can even be considered a candidate for such a powerful position.

I can imagine Nixon doing it after he had a a few snifters....  the cunt.
