If I was a betting man my money would be on the Democratic candidate.
2 years there was a panic about the mid term elections, there was going to be a red wave as Trumpian republican candidates would win big, it didn't happen.
Trump still has weaknesses and will find it difficult to form a coalition that can win him the election.
He's still the guy who couldn't accept that he lost the 2020 election and egged his wilder followers onto a quasi insurrection.
He's still the guy who made jokes about a vicious assault on a 82 year old man in his own home.
He's the guy who invites white supremacists to his home and Allies with Christian fundamentalists, who spew racist bile at a Sikh appearing at the RNC.
He's the guy who appointed an avid anti abortionsist as his candidate for vice president. This is a subject said to hurt the Republicans at the mid term, it can again.
He's the guy who appoints judges who let him off the hook on legal issues.
I could go on.
I think there are still Republicans and independents who look at Trump and say no, not that guy.
