Now, I have read Three Body Problem series, it is going to be extremely difficult to transfer this to visual medium, however the first two episodes do generally capture the initial start of getting the story going. It'll be very interesting to see how they handle various aspects of the books, if they go that far, I'm taking they are concentrating on Three-Body Problem first and seeing if it takes well to sci-fi audiences, clearly they done several artistic licences with characters and locations and such, but it's intriguing to see the take on it. Brad Pitt is a producer btw, and I've read they had a mini-science / physicists team involved on the project.
Finished 3 Body Problem tonight. The hardcore sci-fi amongst us will percerver with it. Its not like the books, but the general plot is, as I mentioned before it'd be extremely difficult to put across what's in the books on TV without meaning to them. In general though it is good and Netflix appear to have really backed it. There will be a few more series yet.
After the mess the same show runners made of GoT, I'll read the books after watching the show. Safer that way.
