A book serialised on Radio 4 about the opiod crisis (and it absolutely is one), in the USA. It told how the wealthy Sackler family constantly produced stronger and stronger painkillers, blowing the competition away and at the same time crippling much of America. They hid behind a veneer of respectability by sponsoring museums and art galleries plus various changes of names. Very shocking stuff.
That is exactly what the drama is about. Only on episode two but it’s very good so far.
