Australia’s extra 175 required are a long way away, but if ever there was a time for Australia to create history (beating their own highest ever winning score there) it’s tomorrow with England probably having to rely on Root if it’s turning.
I’m still predicting an England win but the margin might well be less than 20 runs
England hammered 378 against India last year.... but otherwise yes, that score by SA is the highest. Going to be a tough chase for the Aussies, but they can definitely do it. Squeaky bum time. Going to be a great day of test cricket.
Hopefully we get some cloudy conditions to take advantage of like the Aussies did at the start of our second innings.
Let's also not forget the 2005 Ashes test at Edgbaston.... 279 all out chasing 282. Not sure I can cope with drama like that now I'm nearly 20 years older.
