Nice!
I love trail running. Walking hills is the way forward. You can move quite quickly.
Currently in South Wales carbing-up at my in-laws in readiness for the Beast of the Blacks in the Brecon Beacons tomorrow.
Doing the 20 miler. Lots of elevation.
There was a 40 mile option.
Best of luck!
Since China decided the covid isn't a thing any more race scene is opening up again. Would quite like to do a marathon (never done one) this year here but we'll see. Prior to covid often there were races around the country that would pay for a flight and accommodation for pasty white blokes to join their race so they could show off how international it is! Wouldn't mind a weekend out in the sticks somewhere to do that!
Thank you. Amazing scenery. Lots of snow on the higher ground.
Slightly achy today. But, the benefit is that I can eat loads to aid recovery
My only advice with a marathon is try and do one where you know there will be crowds watching. The energy from them cheering does make a difference and provides a boost.
I've run Newport three times to try and get a good time (as it's flat), but so much of there course was in the middle of nowhere with hardy any spectators, that it became quite a battle.

I'm doing a half marathon trail run in the Chilterns in July. Could be quite hot...
Sounds good.
Salt. Lots of salt. Salt sticks. Rehydrating salts in your water.
