Completed it then on PS5 when the latest patch came out, just so much easier with no fiddling of settings to get the balance right, arguably slightly more gorgeous on the PC but a lot less aggro on the PS5, console everytime given the choice, something I thought I'd never say 5 odd years ago

A few issues with that.
First, I can play all my games old (PC games and emulators) and new on my PC and have access to PS exclusives and Xbox GamePass. I would need a lot of consoles to do that instead of a single box.
Second, I can't expense a PS5 or Xbox Series for work as I do PC parts.
I've got my PC connected to my TV though over LAN and with NVIDIA's auto optimisation it's pretty good, and with wake on LAN I don't need to leave the living room. A faff to set it up but not really any bother now compared to my Switch.
