Just back from a 5 miler. Feels great to be able to get out at lunchtimes again now that the weather has cooled down a bit. Summer pretty much wipes me out from a running perspective as I struggle to run in anything over about 20 degrees. Starting to get my miles back up again now.
Sticking by my decision to give up racing though, did two halves earlier in the year - Brighton and Hackney, and hated both. Just don’t enjoy them anymore. Short term goal is to just comfortably run a 10k every 3-4 days.
