Be interesting to know what comparable numbers were pre covid in December 2019. There were loads of articles around this time 2 years ago about nhs being at breaking point due to numbers of folks in hospital which was being made worse by winter flu.
That's not me suggesting there isn't a problem, there clearly is. But, given that there's now a lot of peer reviewed data now out saying omicron is 50 to 70% less severe and the MV data remains flat to support this, its about time focus was put on getting our NHS in a much better state of health than it is.
