No they want a PM and cabinet that feel connected to the places they represent, they want MPs to stand up for their constituents without fear and very real possibility the whip will be taken off them if they dare to disagree with a government policy, they don’t want to be labelled racist or NIMBY’s when government ride roughshod over local council decisions and community concerns, they want a PM that has positive vision for the future that offers hope to millions of people things will get better, they want a PM that stands for something and has some tangible values and convictions.
What people see is a thin skinned, paranoid, conviction free politician more akin to a manager of a NHS trust than a leader. Also I don’t mind admitting that the genie sadly has long since escaped the lamp when it comes to having dull leaders, that isn’t going to work anymore in a digital SM age, I think that’s wrong but that’s where we are.

The grown ups and centrist dads are putting in a hell of a performance. How the hell do you end up with a majority like that and end up behind Reform and the Tories?
Westminster Voting Intention:
RFM: 24% (-2)
CON: 20% (+1)
LAB: 19% (+2)
LDM: 16% (=)
GRN: 14% (-2)

Similarly when a poll of Labour Party members declare support for Starmer is at an all time low, then you have a problem.
And if/when the immigration problem is sorted and the lives of the white working class are still shit, what then?
I'd wager most of them don't know about any of government's achievements that I listed. The big problem Labour have is messaging but they are totally up against it because literally from day one the right wing media have conducted a huge onslaught of disinformation and distraction to convince people that their lives are getting worse every day and the only way to fix it is by stopping the boats.
Reading Starmer's almost daily FB posts is an utterly soul destroying experience. Not because of what he says, but because of the vitriolic reactions he gets from almost everyone. Every positive bit of news is greeted with derision.

The same hero who told them Brexit would cure all our ills.
No one said politics was easy and Labour have made it look really hard without any help needed from others.

13th u-turn on demanding digital ID to work. Expect the rest of the programme to be quietly scrapped.
Can anyone remember another government reversing so many decisions in such a short space of time? Imagine having 14 years to prepare for government, for this.
