Archer has had a good test, but would no way walk in ahead of their seamers! His test record isnt close to the quality of Starc, Cummins, Hazlewood, Boland.

It’s time we all accept test cricket has started withering on the vine!!…India Australia & England are not producing young quality test batsmen ones who will score 8000+++ runs in a test career & for a quality fast bowler or spinner why bust a gut in a test when franchise cricket offers an income equivalent to a PL player.

Archer definitely gets in ahead of Boland, and Hazlewood is injured for the whole series so isn't in the team currently.

I'd also always take Brook and Stokes over Green and Inglis, quite easily too.

Maybe you are right. But while cricket fans all agree test cricket is the peak and the MCG will have close to 90,000 in it for every day the next test lasts, there has to be hope. Would a 20/20 game attract the number of paying spectators this Ashes series has?

Boland’s test record is miles better than Archers I’m afraid. Not even close. Archer averages 32 with the ball, bang average. Had a very good test match so far this time though.

Brook and stokes over green and inglis yeah I’d agree.

Fortunately the Snicko incident means this is another null and void Ashes tour, the last legit tour down under was 10-11.
