The Ashes
I for one, long for a return to one win in 17. If we're 3rd/4th best in the world so be it. That's about right imo.

I don't think you'll be waiting too long to see us go on a similar run of 1 win in 17.

We lost our last Test at home v India, and could easily lose 5-0 here.

I don't want to see a return to what we had before Brain-dead Baz took over, but I certainly don't want to carry on watching this shit we're consistently serving up, either.

I'm not sure where we go from here, but this is not the answer. I'd settle with a return to playing somewhat normal Test cricket with some semblance of intelligence and sensibility, and players/coaches who aren't arrogant and up their own arse. That would be a nice start.

Cheer up Josh, 300 partnership now from the no1 and no2 batters in the world and it's game on!!

We've got 3 world class players, this approach has taken some of the others further than they should have ever gone in the game.

Cook has just pointed it out - Crawley faced 4 dot balls and got all twitchy. What the fuck is that about? Australia doesn't have to work particularly hard to take wickets. Bowl a few good deliveries, stop runs for an over or so, and then we just implode because we daren't soak up pressure and see the run rate dip below 4 an over.

It's all so unnecessary. There's zero mental strength to see off good bowling and accept you may not score runs for a short while, but you have to work through that and earn the right to be aggressive later against poorer bowling, once you've worn down the attack.

I really don't think asking the team to show some form of respect to the opponent, and the Test format for that matter, and to play sensibly is asking too much, is it?

Meh, it's created some good memories, I'll give it that.

But it's all too easy for players to look good when you produce lifeless flat pitches at home and get wins against lesser nations like Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, West Indes and Ireland.

They'll be out for 150 soon enough and be able to concentrate on getting some golf in or maybe a little kick around with a football to get the team spirit up.

Have you got tickets for the 5th Test or something? You seem very disheartened.

We don't have to keep picking the likes of Crawley, Pope, Bashir etc. There have been player who've scored more runs and taken more wickets in county cricket who could have deserved a chance. One of my biggest gripes with this setup is that we've all but eliminated the CC to test side pathway by picking an XI based off vibes and golf handicap.

We've also ruined the CC in terms of a spectacle for a number of rounds when playing with the kookaburra ball to get players used to it in preparation for this series.

How's that gone, Key, you fucking bell end.

The only chance we've got of winning this is if I slag them off incessantly they might prove me wrong .

Innings defeat anybody?

Embarrassment, just pleased I didn't invest in the sleep deprivation for this one like I did the first.

Opposition better than you, fair enough, but I don't think these necessarily are, especially with their second string bowlers.

Ah well, chalk it off to experience.
