Ultimately no one knows if Mason is going to be good, shit, or another average manager. Given how tight the Championship looks this season it really is going to come down to manager squeezing out an extra few points here and there and who from 10 or so teams has the best luck with injuries.

We will finish anywhere from 5th to 15th and I doubt more than 3-4 wins will be the difference between those two spots come May.

Superb summary.

I’m going today not knowing whether we will finish 4th or 23rd. That is the crazy nature of the Championship but also having a novice manager, the uncertainty the window causes and the strengthening of rivals. It beats the closed shop of the Prem.

My thoughts too bud i know we need the prem money but give me the cut and thrust of the champ anyday. The prem ceased to be a competitive football competition many many moons ago its now just a PR & money making exercise for Sky & the usual big 6 or 7 teams and the PL will do whatever they have to in order to keep it that way,as we all know its corrupt as fuck and nothing will be done about it.

It's a decent summary.

Especially compared to this preseason "preview" from the Athletic:

Woeful

I love it when we don't exist in any of these people's minds. Long may it continue … until suddenly we do.

They may as well have just printed a conversation in the pub between a few fans who never go to a game.

Seems spot on to me.
Yet it was the same last season but according to some on here we should have walked the play offs.

Sky subscribers can get the Athletic for free if they can be arsed.

It’s on the VIP app.
