Seeing lots about Assassins Creed Shadows, some positive some negative, but rather than actually wanting to buy the game, I just have an urge to play through Ghost of Tsuhima again.

Been playing kingdom Come; Deliverance 2 - very good, even if the combat is messy as anything.

Just wait six months and play Ghost of Yotei.

Was going to start Avowed this week, but having played the original MGS before Christmas and then having seen the trailer for the updated MGS3 due in August I've had an overwhelming urge to play MGS2.

I was late to the party with Ghost of Tsuhima, im about half way through it, but loving the almost relaxing nature of the playstyle, especially compared to the Elden Ring DLC which was my last game of this type. It does get a bit samey after a bit but the combat mechanics are some of the nicest ive played and it all looks so pretty and serene.  Its a nice change of pace as ive spent most of the back end of last year rinsing Baldurs Gate to within an inch of its life.

On, Detriot: Become Human (PS5 upscaled Deluxe version).

3rd time round for me. Fug it's like playing or being part of a film. Brilliant.

Was one of the best of that kind of game. And the graphics look like they still stand up. Cracking storyline too.

It's definitely up there as one of my favourite games. Combat was superb, as you say. I quite liked the story, too. I think it got the balance right in terms of size - having a big open map with lots to do without being overwhelming or so big it became a chore to travel across. I never got to a point where I was bored, it felt about right when it ended. Not so soon as I felt robbed with an abrupt ending, but not so long that it dragged on.

The MGS series is my all time favourite. Duffers will have a blast replaying through MGS2. Underrated game. I recall the hammering it got due to not having Snake as the protagonist for the main portion of the game.

I posted earlier on this Fred about replaying through MGS3 sometime last year, and it still holds up remarkably well for a game that's 20 years old. The controls are fiddly and haven't aged well, but graphically, gameplay, and story wise, it still looks and feels amazing.

Finished Atomfall on Gamepass recently, which was fun if not a little bit flawed.

Started Expedition 33, which I’ve heard good things about, and it is so French! Seriously, it might as well be riding a bicycle with a string of onions around it.

Got Legend of the East with Arthur in RDR2. IYKYK. Now that's done it's a downhill run to the Platinum, then I can get moving on the backlog again.
