It’s funny how you haven’t noticed everyone pointing out that Dood is causing the club to try to find out who is leaking while you continue to accuse him of talking nonsense. It’s ok to just say “I was wrong”.

Couple new names have entered the odds this evening.

Former Barnsley boss Gerhard Struber - another graduate of the Red Bull high pressing fraternity of coaches but one that’s not had great success anywhere really so would hope we are aiming higher, especially as he’s currently employed so would command a fee - and secondly former Brighton and Wales coach Andrew Crofts. The latter is a long serving coach who has worked with Potter and de Zerbi… could absolutely see an appointment like that.

Assuming we are down to the final 4 I’d be betting on Fischer, Wicky, Eustace and probably Crofts being the ones in conversations.

Crofts was mentioned briefly a week or so back. Currently no2 to Bellamy at Wales as well as Brighton gig....

Interesting thing with him is he will have in-depth knowledge of their scouting model too...

Have seen Crofts linked but imagine he is being groomed as a future Brighton manager as he has been in the coaching team for a while under different managers.

Not seen the Struber link - he did well at Barnsley and has FC Koeln top of a very tight Bundesliga 2. Like you, would hope we would aim higher.

Winky and __________ plus one more appears to be shortlist. Personally I think they might interview one more, but I’ve no evidence to present to say that’s true. 

Just looking forward to knowing who it is and getting behind them.

Eustace is the steady hand who I could see leading us into 6th. It wouldn’t be pretty but it would be effective.

Fischer is my choice as his track record is phenomenal, he did very good work in his previous jobs too, and speaking to a German colleague who is a football nut, he said that everyone in Germany was following Union as a second team due to their football under Fischer. He also said that Fischer is a working class guy who really connected with the people and the area that Union represent, he worked really hard to ensure the club and team stayed connected with the values and history of that region - something I can see ticking a lot of boxes not only for us as a special club, but also it mirrors what Bilkul have said from day one.

If Fischer wants it and is affordable he is the standout by a mile so should get it.

It's all very exciting! All being well, we'll have a new manager in place by the Stoke match.

P.S with regards to Dood, I thought he might have connections with an agent as opposed to someone in the club as they are a group of people who are always chatty.
