NFL 2025 season

Another great game last night. Probably lacking in quality compared to KC v Ravens, as there was some very scrappy plays (New centre for Eagles, first game of the season, a very dodgy playing surface all conspired to produce this) but also some very good play.

Hurts is some QB. And that's a great win for Eagles given how they started the game (-1 yards on offense in the first Q).

Ian Eagles son, Noah, sounds exactly like his dad, who is the best play by play caller in the business. It's bizarre!

Glad to see a Divisional rival lose last night. Saquon Barkley looks impressive. Not surprised to see CJGJ tripping over his ego to let the Packers in for that TD.

Hope Jordan Love is OK. Talking about an ankle injury but I thought his knee popped too.

The pitch was slippy - made me wonder if Corinthians ground staff had watered it pre-match as they would normally for a football game. It certainly hampered the QBs and receivers IMO. That said, same for both teams so can't be used as an excuse. Eagles looked good and I think GB can be fairly content with how it went. They began last season with lots of fouls - a bit more discipline, they'll be ok (if Love isn't out for long)

Did anyone go to the Box kick off party?

Walked past he numerous times on way to the Slug and Lettuce and All Bar One, but never been in.

The Walkabout tries to portray itself as a NFL bar too, but that basically involves a few posters and banners.

I'm here now. Nice atmosphere but not as busy as I'd like to have seen (my mate is organising it). It's been moved to Felsons, which is a good venue with superb food. Box fucked my mate over. Not great for them.

Texans are going to win the Super Bowl. It’s only took one quarter to work this out

Jags look good, but equally Fins look bad. Tua seems out of sync and is over throwing a few throws. Still a long way to go in this game, and of course the season.
