"You have to get out and vote. You won’t have to do it anymore. Four more years, it will be fixed, it will be fine. You won’t have to vote anymore my beautiful Christians. I love you Christians. You gotta get out and vote. In four years you won’t have to vote again, we'll have it fixed so good you're not gonna have to vote."

Those who think "it doesn't really matter if he wins, it'll only mean another 4 years" probably ought to reconsider

He says stuff like that but is it actually doable without full on civil war?

I heard an interview with some American legal expert who was one of their leading legal minds when it comes to the constitution and he said if Trump manages to load their civil service and judiciary with enough pro-Trump allies, and he gets control of both Houses it is feasible he could get an amendment through in 4 years to allow him to run again, but any other changes would be pretty much impossible.

If Trump does win, I guess we just have to watch on because there’s nothing we can do.

I think the idea is something along the lines of repealing the 22nd Amendment (which limits how many terms a particular president can be in office for) and then somehow ensuring that Republicans always win elections. Republicans have been attempting to implement voter suppression measures to benefit their candidates in individual states for years.

The Supreme Court has already shown it'll do whatever Trump wants by recently going against all legal precedent to rule that presidents have legal immunity for presidential actions.

He said "I'm a Christian". Christ even he's not that bad to make that slip up in front of the 'Believers Summit'.

Anyway the quote highlighted was during the speech about voter ID and single day voting. He just meant that they would be so far ahead people wouldn't need to vote, not the end of democracy. Can we stop being so wet on here perchance?

If you can't fathom the Trump ego trajectory then I suggest you get a diving suit as you'll be drowning under a deluge.

Don’t you have to be a Christian to become US President? I think you can run as a non-believer but then not get the job of you win it or something daft like that.

I know JFK was the 1st Catholic president because it was all the news at our junior school. We bunged our pennies in for that mural in Brum. (We also bunged our crisps money in for African babies with the benefit we could suggest names for them. According to my memory most Africans of a certain age will probably be called Brendan, Shaun or Declan)

You have to be a "natural born citizen."

Don't think, but not 100%, that you have to be "Christian"
