I was there too and preferred Weezer and thought they were superb. I’m a big Pumpkins fan but only went because my mate’s brother dropped out. They get more and more self indulgent with every tour and I think that is the last time I’d bother seeing them to be honest.

I was at that concert. Even though I really like Weezer, I'm more of a Smashing Pumpkins fan. Thought SP were awesome. Played a lot of the hits. Suppose it's down to who you prefer.

Tom Stade - Stourbridge - June
Kings of Leon - Brum - June
Ben Howard - Wolvo - October
The Flaming Lips - Brum - April

They did but played far too much Atum IMO.

All four of us off to James at the O2 in a bit.

Bloc Party playing all of Silent Alarm next for me in a couple of weeks. Can't wait, one of THE great albums.

Mostly Jazz couple weeks after that. Leftfield in Moseley Park...that will be immense.

Saw Bloc Party a few times in 2004 round the time that Banquet was originally released as a single. They had a good energy around them and a decent live act. I was never a fan of anything of post Silent Alarm though. I had a look at tickets for that warm up gig in Brum and tickets were far too pricey for a band I only have a passing interest in these days.

A mate saw them at the NIA on Wednesday night and said they were very good even though he only knows a few singles.

Mrs and Daughter going as well. I'll be able to watch England in peace and with a beer!

I went tonight, decent enough though not my cup of tea. Assuming they’re going tomorrow when England are on?
