Taylor Swift at Anfield on Thursday. I'm absolutely buzzing for this!

Any recommendations?

Festival season now so fewer gigs. I noticed there's a New Order tribute act at the Hare & Hounds. Also a Depeche Mode tribute act at the Castle & Falcon.

Having failed to persuade anyone to go with me, I also made the last minute decision to go because I love Cud.

Really glad I went, enjoyed it. It was very, erm, niche. Smile  Also good fun. The finale was suitably shambolic. Funniest moment was Independent Country saying "This is a Jesus and Mary Chain Song" - cue slide guitar. Well, I LOLed.

The only disappointment was the MAC ran out of keg beer by 7pm and food by 8pm. So I had a packet of crisps and switched onto the Leffe Blond. I was a bit wobbly by the end.

Shame I missed this as I had to attend a family do. I could have been on the guest list as well.
One of the band members from Independent Country now lives in my previous home

Aye, Cud were really good, and agree the end was chaos. I'm not sure many of the others even knew the tune to Absolute Beginners!  I also fell foul of the ale running out, switched to cider with predictable results. Decent afternoon all round..

Got a ticket for The Killers at the O2 in July, but might be able to get another box freebie for them on another night. Only issue is it would clash with a potential England quarter final. So it’s either free gig and potentially miss the England game or pay to see them a few days later.

I'm potentially getting free tickets to their gig at the Co-OP Live Arena. Fingers crossed we get lucky.

Saw Weezer on Friday at the Utilita. Fookin' awesome gig. However, Smashing Pumpkins were so far up their own arses we left early.

I was at that concert. Even though I really like Weezer, I'm more of a Smashing Pumpkins fan. Thought SP were awesome. Played a lot of the hits. Suppose it's down to who you prefer.

Tom Stade - Stourbridge - June
Kings of Leon - Brum - June
Ben Howard - Wolvo - October
