Kevin Keegan special guest, incredible.

Saw a few Albion and even a Ding who wanted us promoted.
In the form of his life.

Last minute decision. Cud and Pete Williams at the Mac, mini one day line up.

Ended up with a free ticket in a box at the O2 in Thursday night for Liam Gallagher doing Definitely Maybe.

Being sober and massively sleep deprived it wasn’t that much fun. Plus Liam was off form.

I never normally miss seeing Cud whenever they play in Birmingham but already had a ticket for Pet Shop Boys at the NIA tonight so won't get to see them at the MAC. PSB were fantastic when I saw them in Leeds last year though and they current tour setlist is pretty similar so should be a great night.

My mate is over from the States next weekend (indie/rock fan) and thought it would be good to try and take in a gig locally.
Any recommendations?

If he likes the Inspiral Carpets then Tom Hingley is playing at the new 5:15 club in Stirchley next Saturday.

Having failed to persuade anyone to go with me, I also made the last minute decision to go because I love Cud.

Really glad I went, enjoyed it. It was very, erm, niche. Smile  Also good fun. The finale was suitably shambolic. Funniest moment was Independent Country saying "This is a Jesus and Mary Chain Song" - cue slide guitar. Well, I LOLed.

The only disappointment was the MAC ran out of keg beer by 7pm and food by 8pm. So I had a packet of crisps and switched onto the Leffe Blond. I was a bit wobbly by the end.
