It’s amazing they are essentially running just over 4 times my regular distance at twice the pace.

It goes down our road so we always take the kids down to watch a bit.
Saw the “hardest geezer” guy running past.

Well watching that this morning inspired me to enter the ballot. Doubt I will get in but looks an amazing experience. Will look to book a half in the next couple of months once the season finishes

Went to the docs the weekend as still aint right. Good news its not shin spints. Bad news its a stress fracture. Sigh. 8 weeks later and still not healed. Probs 4-8 weeks and then back to scan again. Rubbish. Anyone else had one? Am i retiring to the swimming pool with the old uns?

How does it feel pal? I only ask as I’ve had pain in my foot, running and not running ever since I wore by brogues to a wedding in March, not worn formal shoes for what feels like a couple of years and now it’s almost constant pain in my left arch. Should add I played a gig, and lugged equipment up and down stairs at this wedding as well.

Dull ache. Was very apparent when i first did it, then within a week or two only noticed if i put weight on it… still totally fine doing literally anything else but running without pain. If you arent sure get it checked, had i gone to the docs right away expect i’d have been given the big boot to help it heal… as it is now just been told to leave it for another couple of months and check again. More frustrating than painful.

Been roped by my 6 year old daughter into running the Greenwich mini marathon (2.6 miles) with her this morning. It’s her first race and she’s very excited. Had to plan the day very carefully.
10.30 - Race starts 12.00 - Celebratory Pizza Express 14.00 - Home in time for a shower and kick off.
