Takeover
Probably because they don’t know anything.

It does make you pine for the days when there was a local rag with a journo who had a few drinks with the players, and a fanzine that came out once a month or so… takeovers take a few months and given the nature of football there will always be some wrong-uns sniffing.

We have to be thankful that MSD should at least ensure whatever buyer we end up with has sufficient funds to complete the purchase, but that’s about as much as we can expect. I feel safer having them in the equation as had this been left solely to Lai I expect every nut job would have been coming out the woodwork.

As with Lai, the club will continue to exist after whatever owner we end up with… although, it would be nice to just once get someone with a bag of cash.

Doesn't seem realistic to me but whilst everyone is panicing - is this Farnell tryng to delay the Patel bid in order to push the club into admin. and try and nab it on the cheap?

In the case of adminstration - I'd assume MSD would the top ultimate preferential creditor and therefore could still influence the decision - but as mentioned if someone turns up with the cash and pays them off then they are out. However the adminstrators would have some reasonablity to not try and sell it to the first money lauderers that turn up anyway?

With Thorny, Gourlay and Bruce all long gone I expect there’ll be a profit warning for their shareholders any minute.

I think we should have an ITK-o-meter.

I'm currently at 0.00%

I know nothing.

I'm at 2% - I know it hasn't been completed yet.

I'm at about -10% and every time I come on here it goes down a little further.

Only an issue if their debt isn’t repaid in full as part of a deal. Once they are repaid in full they obviously don’t hold any sway.  But whilst they are owed, they have to give consent to any change of control.   Now - a change of 9.5% shareholding wouldn’t be a change of control yet they’d still be repaid according to this article.

I think the 9.5% is like the Lopez/Blues deal. This just buys you a seat at the table, and you then go through Due Diligence. I'm guessing Patel has offered full and final settlement?
