Interestingly the Athletic writer who mentioned the 3 parties this morning still seems to think the Farnall group has a chance.
He also mentions that he expected Patel’s group to be announced as preferred bidder on Wednesday (which lines up with what CaptainFantastico suggested at the time).
I trust Captain & Percy though - fingers crossed it’s Patel’s bid that is successful

Didn't someone on here say the potential owner has someone with an Albion connection assisting the bid? Or is that more speculation?

No point in having a massive budget as we couldn’t spend it

I’ve no idea why Wednesday went out the window.
It won’t be Farnell, categorically. But I know the reasons why some journos think it might be, they’re just wrong.
I think we will see decent spending from the buyer, but it’ll only be large on the pitch if we go up. Until we do it’ll be progressive on the pitch but with investment more widely
Someone could have been killed

Sounds good to me.

That’s a relief to hear - from what I’ve read Patel seems like a decent guy! And in terms of what you’ve said with spending, I suppose that’s all we could ask for, would be chuffed with that. Fingers crossed Patel comes in soon.
Cheers for the update

No blame on anyone for Wednesday but with everything that’s gone on today and a positive outlook, is there any kind of timescale . I doubt it but it doesn’t hurt to ask.

I think this is further down the line than we think or has been reported, that’s the feeling I’m getting, captain do you agree?

Imho and im by no means an itk or expert but seeing as the buyer has been outed so to speak suggests to me that things are far more advanced than we realise.

All being well, I will be surprised if Lai isn’t gone before the end of the month.
