Have to say, rather enjoying the eclectic mix of nations and just how unpredictable games are. Not knowing really anything about the rankings, you have to make assumptions who will be the stronger team based on assumed infrastructure and the ability of the corresponding men’s teams, but in reality it’s very different.

Can you imagine the likes of Vietnam, Haiti or the Filipino men’s teams qualifying, let alone running some of the big teams close.

Of the games I've seen I've actually been quite disappointed by the quality overall, I expected more. Women players are usually well-skilled technically and rely on finesse and accuracy in the absence of strength and brawn. However, I think the decision-making and vision have been terrible so far, as have the ball skills and passing. How much of that is down to the tournament occurring so long after the end of the regular season I'm not sure. We'll have to see if things improve as we get beyond the group stage.

Spain have been the best team I've seen so far, whilst England, who were brilliant for so long leading up to the tournament, have looked pedestrian and lacking in creativity.

I think it’s been good, if you treat it as a different sport and don’t compare it to the mens game it’s pretty fun
