You live in hope.

Much as you grind your teeth over the help the counties have given to aussies in acclimatising,  bear in mind india have come straight off the plane from a gruelling IPL with no preparation.
Shot to bits? Give it a rest.

Not a dig just a fact, shot to bits when it nibbles around

No different to English players not being able to play spin on dust bowls, generally we can’t

Just facts of the world game mucker!

India don’t travel well outside their home pitches, Aussies are the best at adapting and have been, through gritted teeth, for many a year now unfortunately

They’re the best for a reason and the last five days showed by quite a distance

India's overseas winning percentage in the last 10 years has been 38.18 per cent. This is the best among any international team.
Just the facts of the world game duck.

So is it just over here they struggle badly then?

Is that what you're saying?

Cuzer
No. Just that before spouting off bullshit as fact, you should check.

Nothing more. Have a good 'un and enjoy the forthcoming series.

India have beaten Australia on the last two tours there!!!...
India would have comfortably beaten England on the last tour here COVID saved England.

India are a great side. I'm not sure what Cuzer is getting at here? Like RS said they battered us a couple of Summers ago, and the forthcoming tour will be very difficult for England.

Been away for a few days. Green definitely grassed that catch. It clearly hit the grass between his fingers, ergo it's not a catch.

Didn't matter at all in the end though, the Aussies were unfortunately far better on the first day and India couldn't recover.

Was around Edgbaston yesterday saw Stokes bowl a few still not 100% IMO England need him to bowl...

Given the media focus on the series (quite rightly), both teams will be trying every trick in the book (legally) to gain an advantage. It may not be always what you see is what you get. Subtefuge will be a significant part of both sides planning.

I agree, as long as he can bowl to his full capability. With Leach missing, we need all the help we can get bowling wise.

Brilliant, you've topped yourself here

But they didn't did they? They ran off home to the IPL and when they came back, when the chips were down and it mattered they bottled it once again, a bit like the game against the Aussies

Laughable!

Glad you enjoyed your 3 days in the sun seeing the Aussies give your underachievers a whipping all the same ;-)

I've not said they're not a good side Superbob, clearly ahead of us at the moment man for man as a Test side, alas they've a reputation of bottling the big moments, is it 10-12 years since they won anything type of competition? Sure the boys on here will correct me if wrong

Current form we're as good as anybody right now but the acid test comes Friday, alas against a side in bang form and we're struggling with an injury crisis with our bowling

The laughable part is the Ostrich's on here following India continue to bury their heads in the sand over their shortcomings and fail to see anything negative to do with their beloved team, surprising to the extreme as the profess to be Albion fans, all the shite we put with they should be used to the disappointment really?

Really?

Firs Test Drawn - Could have gone either way on the last day but for the rain.
Second test - India won.  Having set England a competitive target, England duly folded.
Third Test - England won.  By an Innings and 76 runs.  Now that's comfortable.
Fourth Test India won.  A great 3rd innings from India and then despite a very good opening for England a collapse to mess up.  100- 0 to 210 all out.  It certainly wasn't comfortable starting the 3rd innings in a 99 run deficit.

I don't see how you could possibly claim you would have comfortably beaten England had the fifth test been played at that point. Especially given how late in the year it was getting.

For the record I don't agree that India are poor travellers, their results suggests otherwise.  However if you want people to listen don't pass things off as fact that are opinion, even more so when your opinion of what may have happened pays listen resemblance to what was happening at the time.  So I'd say that you're talking bollocks.

One last point, India are a better than England overall, I don't think anyone disputes that.  They're also perennial bottlers when the trophies come round - is this a mental thing within the team or is a bigger problem of outside pressure from Indian media and fans?
