Norma by Bellini in Palermo (Europe's third largest opera house) later in the month.

There's a Steve Earle tour in June/July and some more Bellini at Buxton. And we have a gift voucher for the ROH, so maybe a bit of Verdi in July. Things seem to be getting back to normal.

Talking 'bout Steve Earle, Cheshire,  have you seen he's on at Black Deer festival in Kent? Also there is Lucinda Williams, Calexico, Bonnie Light Horsemen, Bonnie Raitt. I'd definitely be going but it clashes with my Ashes tickets.

I saw Calexico many years ago in Manchester and they were excellent.

I'd love to see Lucinda Williams and Bonnie Raitt. I can't see any way of persuading the boss to go all the way to Kent for them, unfortunately. As it is, Steve Earle is at Buxton on our daughter's birthday. There will be some negotiation before that's settled. Might have to go to Liverpool instead.

I've spent the weekend catching up with C2C on BBC Sounds. They don't seem to have featured a "legend" this year. Unless maybe I'm getting old and some of these young whippersnappers are regarded as old stagers.

That's quite the musical mix. You should start doing concert reviews on here.

My wife is going to Beyonce in May thanks to a friend, and we're both going to Arctic Monkeys in June. Can't wait!
