52:07 10k this morning. Feel like back to making progress as opposed to just treading water.

That is seriously awesome Midge, well done. I have been struggling a bit lately with completing any 5k but managed it this morning in 27:20 so chuffed with that. Reading back through the thread I can see injuries are taking their toll a bit but some great efforts going on.

I can’t believe the difference they’ve made, so comfortable in comparison to my previous adidas pair, 3 times the price, but worth every penny.

My post-Covid and honeymoon build has been somewhat derailed by a bout of tendinitis. Have been resting since Tuesday and will introduce a bit of load across the weekend. Not what the doctor ordered three weeks out from the start of the autumn marathon block.

I also wear Supernovas. The one thing you should never skimp on is a decent pair of running shoes.

I've been wearing Saucony Guide for the last 15 years.

I went to have my gait measured and they were the recommended running shoes. I'm probably getting through on average 1.5 pairs a year based on distance.
Such comfy shoes.

I've also got some Inov trail shoes with graphene grip for coast path / trail running.

First run out since I got over covid today, tough going... first 2k I didn't think I'd make it to 5, but I persevered at a moderate pace and the final 1k felt ok. GPS went a bit squiffy so probably did just under 5k (said my last k took 2mins 30 secs....) but just happy to be back out there. This half marathon aim is getting put back again, third time lucky...

200km for me this month. Lockdown in Beijing was good for something Big Grin back to work since Monday so can't see me keeping this up as a regular occurrence but well chuffed with it.
