So much has been shit over the last couple of years. There has been pandemics and the loss of loved ones, the imminent threat of global war, the shite state of West Bromwich Albion… but one thing is guaranteed to cheer me up…

Just paid for my Glastonbury ticket.

Most festivals look awful this year. Got my annual trip to the Great Escape in Brighton, going to give Sonicwave in Brum a go and got a ticket for the Duran Duran/Chic day of British Summer Time.

Managed a nice hat-trick this week. Got tickets for Fontaines DC in November on Monday, the brilliant Yard Act in Hackney next week yesterday and have just bagged a ticket to see Muse at Hammersmith Apollo in May.

Did have a ticket for Royal Blood at the O2 tonight, but have had to sell it.

Current slate:

Tuesday - Yard Act, Hackney Earth
May 9th - Muse, Hammersmith Apollo
May 29th - The Smile, Camden Roundhouse
May 31st - Alan Partridge, The O2
June - Glastonbury
August - Reading Saturday (Arctic Monkeys, Wolf Alice, Fontaines DC)
November - Fontaines DC, Hammersmith Apollo

A bunch of gigs this week.

Last Sunday was a female Indian singer called Shreya Ghoshal at Wembley Arena, Monday was Stormzy at The O2, tonight is Royal Blood at The O2, tomorrow is Simple Minds at Wembley Arena and Friday and Saturday is Sam Fender also at Wembley Arena.

With more to come in the next couple of weeks.

Our kid said him and his mate got tickets to see the latest incarnation of Yes at Symphony Hall in June. Apparantly, Steve Howe, Alan White, Geoff Downes, plus a couple I`ve not heard of. Playing `Close To The Edge` plus `classic tracks`. His mate can`t now go, so I might go with him.

Got VIP tickets to see Imelda May at Cambridge Corn Exchange on 8th April.

Not normally my bag but we love going to see her. Made a complete shift musically a few years back and you can see why.

Met her a few times. Lovely, lovely lady. Talented too.
