These days, running is becoming shuffling, but still able to amble 8 or so km a couple of times a week. Pace has absolutely gone. Twenty years ago I aspired to run 4 minute Kms; these days 7 minutes per km is pretty good.
Positive is that I still get out.

Good work all. Managed to get the weekly mileage up post Christmas hovering around 45-50 before ramping up through the spring for an autumn marathon.
Getting out early doors it's already starting to show signs of being warmer and lighter.

I am staying in London tonight and looking forward to going for a run around Westminster tomorrow morning before the Millwall game. Will set the day up nicely for the inevitable disappointment tomorrow afternoon

Decided to go for a cheeky 5k at 5 to 3 today, should probably have made it longer.

Eight, count them… EIGHT miles this morning.
Still about 30 seconds a mile slower than I used to be, but considering I’m older, less for and haven’t done these sort of distances for at least two years I’ll take it.

TEN miles this morning!
Getting into double figures is massive psychologically when you’re training for a half. Three weeks till race day, will spend that time getting to a nice, comfortable 11-11.5 then let adrenaline take care of the rest.
